White Temple in Chiang Rai Thailand

If you are in the north of Thailand you will find an amazing piece of art called Wat Rong Khun or White Temple.   It is privately owned and very unconventional with paintings of pop culture like Michael Jackson, Harry Potter, Spiderman, Freddy Krueger, and Neo from the movie The Matrix among many others.  For more photos see the blog of  travelphotoreport.com





                                       
You can see the top is bent over.  It was damaged on May 5, 2014 from a 6.1 earthquake.  The buildings were inspected and found to be sound.  Repairs are being done.

    Great and inspiring pictures. Can you believe it I still haven't made it down there. Hahahahaha. I'm so lazy. And now my camera is gone (it was stolen), so I definitely can't go yet. Sigh. :P

    Thank you! In all fairness you do have a job and it is SO far out of town for you :) Sorry about your camera. When you get another you can visit when there are nearly no people! I wish we would have had more time.
