Picton, Queen Charlotte Sound

March 6, 2016

Picton is at the end of Queen Charlotte Sound and is a very tiny port.  It is a really cute port and a very small town so there is not much to see. We managed to find free wifi at the local grocery store/tiny shopping center where we sat on the floor with some other passengers and crew.

Our first peek at this cute tiny town

There were two sweet ladies from the town welcoming committee that gave every person that got off the ship hand wrapped fresh flowers!

Our wifi spot on the floor

Leaving Picton

The Maori name for New Zealand is Aotearoa, meaning the Long White Cloud

The person you see on the boat is the harbor pilot waving good bye to the Captain
